Documents creating four Minecraft VMs (201-204) on the second Proxmox
host (R720), following the same wizard-driven setup style as Phases
11-12 but without GPU/Coral/raw-disk passthrough, which only applies
to the R730xd. Adds matching VM config templates.
The generic awk detection command produced no output on this hardware
because lscpu column layout differed. Replace with hardcoded correct
values derived from actual lscpu -e output on the R730xd.

Scans /dev/sd?, skips OS drive (sda) and USB sticks (<100 GiB), checks
which drives are already attached to any VM, then prints (or applies with
--apply) the qm set commands for the next free scsi slot on the target VM.

Move Coral USB passthrough to after VM 101 creation. Expand VM 101 wizard
to full tab-by-tab format matching VM 100 with NUMA, ballooning disabled,
VirtIO-GPU, and security VLAN network settings.

- Graphic card: VirtIO-GPU is new name for Default in Proxmox 9
- Disk: 600 GiB, add IO thread, explain SSD emulation not needed
- Memory: disable ballooning for VM 100 (NUMA pinning), set min=max
- GPU PCI device: add ROM-Bar row, explain why it must stay checked
- OS version: 6.x kernel correct for Ubuntu 24.04

Drives on VL805 card get stable /dev/optical-drive1 and /dev/optical-drive2
symlinks via port-based udev rules. Explains why vendor/device ID binding
fails for identical drives.

VL805/VIA card at 82:00.0 passed to VM 100 (services) as PCIe device.
Coral TPU uses built-in server USB ports for VM 101 (Frigate).

- Add Enable NUMA row to CPU table
- Explain NUMA node pinning and cross-socket penalty
- Note nested-virt flag appears automatically with host CPU type
- Clarify NUMA checkbox location (Processors, not Memory dialog)

VM 100 is now the main services VM (Ubuntu Desktop, GPU, HDDs, Immich/Jellyfin/
Audiobookshelf/NAS). VM 101 is Frigate on a security VLAN with Coral USB.
VM 102 is Windows 11 for Sync.com. Updated all references throughout.

- Step 11.11: rewrite install steps for Ubuntu Desktop (not Server)
- Step 11.13: new step — sed one-liner to force Xorg via gdm3/custom.conf
- Step 11.14: add Wayland disable for VM 101, update VM 102 to Windows install
- Explain why Wayland breaks WinApps tsclient home drive sharing
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Step 11.6: enable nested KVM on Proxmox host (kvm-intel nested=Y)
- Step 11.7: find HDD by-id paths with lsblk and ls /dev/disk/by-id/
- Step 11.8: renamed from 11.6, drive passthrough unchanged
- Step 11.10: VM 102 Windows 11 for Sync.com with dedicated NTFS drive
- Renumbered steps 11.9-11.13 to accommodate new steps

noVNC fails with 'Failed to run vncproxy' when Display is set to none and
no GPU is passed through yet — no virtual display exists to connect to.

- Cores 8→12, add NUMA note for dual-socket E5-2660 v4
- Expand network table with VLAN Tag field and VirtIO note

VMs with a passed-through GPU need Graphic card set to 'none' —
VirtIO-GPU conflicts with the real card. VMs without GPU keep
default VirtIO for console access. Add this to VM 100 and VM 101
System tab tables with explanatory notes.

Coral handles Frigate detection; CPU decode is sufficient on dual Xeons.
GPU goes to VM 101 for Jellyfin/HandBrake/desktop use. Remove NVIDIA
driver install steps from Phase 12, renumber steps 12.2-12.14,
add notes on adding a second cheap GPU to VM 100 later if needed.

Recommend passing optical drives by port rather than vendor/device ID
due to re-enumeration during disc spin-up. Include lsusb -t discovery
and /dev/sr0 note for MakeMKV/HandBrake in VM 101.

Covers passing any USB device to a VM by vendor/device ID or by port,
via both web UI and CLI, with notes on plug-in requirements and config management.

Correct point release from 24.04.1 to 24.04.4 throughout.
VM 101 changed from Ubuntu Server to Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.4
for a full GUI workstation environment via noVNC/RDP.

Step 9.4 was telling users to fill in VM config placeholders before
VMs were created. Replace with a note to record by-id paths for use
in Phase 11 Step 11.6 where drives are actually assigned via qm set.

H730 requires two steps: enable JBOD on the controller, then set each
UGood drive to JBOD state. Without both, drives show in perccli but
are invisible to lsblk/the OS. Also skip Onln drives (OS RAID members).
